    Configure mail in the Outlook Express client

      All the data for setting up the mail is indicated in your registration sheet, which you were given in the room 200 in LIT when registering the mailbox.
      To configure mail collection in Outlook Express using POP3 or IMAP, follow these steps:
    1. Start Outlook Express.
    2. . On the Tools menu, click Accounts ... In the window that appears, click the "Add/Mail ..." button.



    3. In the new window, in the Display name field, enter your name. What you write in this field, the recipients of your letters will see in the From field. Click "Next"..



    4. In the E-mail address window, enter your e-mail address, click "Next".



    5. In the My incoming mail server window, select POP3 or IMAP as the incoming message server (POP3 - all mail is taken from the server and then stored on your computer. This is the recommended mode, IMAP - mail is stored on the server. Can be read from different computers.). For the Incoming mail server specify mail.jinr.ru if you have selected the POP3 protocol or mail.jinr.ru if you selected the IMAP protocol, and for the outgoing mail server, mail.jinr.ru. Click on the "Next" button.



    6. In the Internet Mail Logon window, in the Account name field, specify your login, in the Password field, enter your password. Click on the "Next" button.


    7. In the window that appears, click the "Finish" button to save your settings.

    8. In the list of accounts window, select the account you just created and click on the "Properties" button. In the window that appears, select the "Servers" tab and enable the "User Authentication" setting.



    9. . If you have configured the work with the mail using the IMAP protocol, then after closing the window with the list of accounts, you will see a window asking you to download the folders from your mailbox. Click "Yes".



      After that, the program finds your folders:


    10. If you want to keep copies of letters on the mail server, enable the corresponding setting in the mail program. To do this, on the Tools menu, click Accounts. In the Internet Accounts window, select the account you need and click the Properties button. In a new window, click the Advanced tab, and in the Delivery section, select the Leave a copy of messages on server check box.



      If you use the IMAP protocol, all your folders will be automatically synchronized.
