    Configure SMTP authorization

    From the 1-st of August on the server mail.jinr.ru the mandatory password check will be included when sending messages (smtp authorization). The name and password to send messages (SMTP) are the same as the name and password to receive mail (POP3 / IMAP). You must configure your mail programs in the appropriate way.

    Configuring Authorized Send for Outlook Express

      - In the Tools menu, go to the Accounts section.
      - In the Mail section, select the mail.jinr.ru account and click Properties.
      - In the Servers section, select the User Authentication check box.
      - Click the Settings button, select Connect using the name/password and enter the data for the mail account (name and password).
      - You can enable the encryption mode of the transmitted information, for this in the Advanced section you need to set the SMTP / SSL docket.

    Configuring Authorized Send for Mozilla Thunderbird Mail Client

      - On the Tools menu, click Account Settings.
      - In the Outgoing mail server section select the mail.jinr.ru account and click the Change button.
      - Set the Use user name and password checkbox, in the User name field, enter the login.
      - Set TLS mode, if possible.
      - On the next attempt to send a request for an SSL certificate, select the Always accept this certificate.

    Configuring Authorized Send for Bat Mail Client

      - On the Account menu, click Properties for the mailbox.
      - Select the Transport section, the Send mail section.
      - In the Connection drop-down menu, select the Secure connection to standars Port (STARTTLS) (Secure to regular port (STARTTLS)).
      - Click the Authentication button (Authentication).
      - Check the box for SMTP Authentication (RFC-2554) (Perform SMTP Authentication (RCF 2554).
      - Select the Use specific settings option.
      - Enter the name and password for the mail account from the questionnaire.
      - Check Require Secure authentication !!! SHOULD NOT !!! Be installed.
      - The first time Bat is requested to confirm the certificate - click on the Add to trusted button.

    Configuring Authorized Send for Microsoft Outlook 2003 Mail Client

      - The Tools menu, the E-mail Accounts item.
      - Select View or change existing accounts.
      - Select account mail.jinr.ru, click on Change.
      - Click the button Other settings.
      - Select the Outgoing mail server.
      - Check the SMTP server requires authentication.
      - Select the Login with item and enter account information.
      - Checkbox the login with a secure password confirmation should not be installed!!!
