Recommendations how to send letters to the support team - Mozilla Messenger 1.6

    Protection system, like any automatically operating system, often requires control from user. Two cases are possible when you need fine-tuning the system from the side of the mail server.

    Manually adding email addresses. If the user received an unwanted message, but it was not recognized and marked by the protection system, then such a warning message should be sent with all headers to the spam@jinr.ru mailing address..

    To send an email with all the headers included you need to perform the following steps:

    (Fig. 1): You mark an advertising letter, then click the right mouse button and open the context menu, select the item Forward.

    (Fig. 2): The Compilation window will be opened, in the field To: you enter address spam@jinr.ru and click the Send button (with a picture of the letter and the arrow).

    Manual deletion of mail addresses. If the message was erroneously marked by the security system as an unwanted message, then such a message must be sent as an attachment to the mailing address nospam@jinr.ru. To send a message as an attachment, you must perform the following steps:

           Configuring the program when use the POP3 / IMAP mailbox:

    To move unwanted emails into a separate folder, you need to set up a filter. You have to do the following:

    (Fig. 5): In the left window, mark the inscription with the name of the mailbox (user@jinr.ru), then in the right window the list of actions will appear. In the Additional Properties section, select Create Message Filters.

    (Fig.7a): The Filtering rules window opens. In the Filter name field: change the name to the Rule for spam mail. In the line with the drop-down menu Theme, contains in the right field write the word-marker *** SPAM ***

    (Fig.7b)The Create folder window opens. Enter the name in the Name: field. Then open new menu Create as a subfolder: and select the mailbox (user@jinr.ru), another window will be opened, in which we will approve this folder as the parent folder.

The OK button will become active, press it to return to the previous window (Fig. 7).

    (Fig. 9): The lower part of the Filtering Rules window takes the following form. Now the filter settings are ready, press the OK button to return to the previous window (Fig. 6).

    Now all the letters that contain in the subject field word-marker *** SPAM *** will be automatically placed to the spam folder.
