Setting up mail in the The Bat client

    1. Start the program The Bat, select the menu Account (Account) item New (New ...).
    2. In the new window, enter the name of the mailbox (Account name) and click the "Next" button.



    3. Specify your name and email address. The recipients of your letters will see what you write
      in the "Name" field in the "From" field. Click "Next"..



    4. In the section To access the mail server, use the protocol (To access mail server, use protocol), select POP3 or IMAP.
      For the POP3 protocol:
      As the incoming mail server specify mail.jinr.ru.
      As the outgoing mail server specify mail.jinr.ru.
      For the IMAP protocol:
      As the incoming mail server specify mail.jinr.ru.
      As the outgoing mail server specify mail.jinr.ru.
      Check the box next to My server SMTP requires authentication (My smtp server requires authentication for sending mail).
      Click "Next".



    5. In the User field, specify your login, in the Password field - your password. Click on the "Next" button.



      In the next window, to save the settings, click the "Finish" button.
    6. If you want to keep copies of letters on the mail server, enable the corresponding setting in the mail program.
      On the Account menu, click Properties for the mailbox. In the new window, go to Mail Management and select
      the option to Leave messages on server. Choose "The period of storage of letters on the server" - 3 days.


      For the POP3 protocol, specify the folders from which you want to retrieve mail, on the "Settings" page - in the "Mail clients" section.
      If you use the IMAP protocol, all your folders will be automatically synchronized.
