Services: Remote Access

    EDUROAM

At JINR, the Eduroam service was launched in test operation. Eduroam (education roaming) is a secure, worldwide network developed for the international research and education community. Eduroam provides wireless Internet access to all staff and students, as well as guests from partner organizations participating in the Eduroam project both at JINR and beyond.

    How to connect Eduroam :

To obtain the login and password, contact the JINR Network Service (LNP site, LIT Building 134, Room 200).

Use the following data for tuning at JINR:
        SSID (network name): eduroam
        Login: your_login@jinr.ru
        Password: your_password
        Network Authentication Type: WPA2-enterprise
        Data Encryption Method: AES
The type of authentication protocol is PEAP (or TTLS)
        Authentication Method - MS-CHAPv2

    Eduroam Roaming:

If you are outside JINR, in an organization that also participates in the eduroam project, you will be able to connect to the local Wi-Fi network using your login@jinr.ru and password. Only basic Internet services will be available. Please note that when using Eduroam in another organization, you must comply with the rules for using the Internet of this organization. Violation of these rules can lead to administrative pressure.
For some services that you use at JINR (for example, 1C server or baza.jinr.ru), you need to connect to the JINR VPN. To do this, obtain a VPN account in the JINR network service.
Before using the eduroum service, check that your laptop and mobile devices are configured to use eduroam inside JINR.
Make sure that the organization you are visiting is a member of the eduroam project.
